Wonder Farm Morgans is not a breeding facility.
It is not a training facility. It is not a show facility. It
is a farm - in the truest sense of the word.
The horses we keep and raise are working horses used to manage our
beef cattle. Years ago, the horses used were Quarter Horse cross-breds.
With the introduction of Morgan breeding, came durability and
smoothness. When the first full-blooded Morgan mare arrived,
competition arose as to whom the lucky rider would be: She was
gaited and in that great Morgan tradition, had amazing endurance.
Through a studied breeding and acquisition program, pure-bred Morgans
replaced the Quarter Horses. Not only were they smooth with
tremendous staying-power, they were stunning and incredibly gentle.
Wonder Farm Morgans breeding program concentrates on four basic
premises:
- Confirmation
We look for a well-muscled animal with
strong hindquarters and depth of chest. We also treasure a
finely shaped head and arched neck. All in keeping with the
classic Morgan correctness.
- Gait
When you first ride a gaited horse, you'll
understand why they were so prized by gentlemen who rode great
distances. In addition to the standard gaits (walk, trot, canter
and gallop), Wonder Farm Morgans naturally possess additional single-footing
gaits.
- Bloodlines
Much of the Bloodline selection is based upon
Old Government Championship stock and Brunk / Working Western Morgan lines. You will consistently
find Flyhawk as well as Ulendon, Trophy, and Mentor lines in our horses' pedigrees.
The quality of those bloodlines are evident in photos of our horses.

- Disposition
A temperamental horse is not
tolerated. WAR Justalent (Buddy), the senior sire, is "the gentlest horse I've ever been around
in my life." The remaining stock follow suit. In short,
they are almost dog-like: happy, curious, and ready to work.
